Last week, my group TC had a meeting. The meeting was about the student life at the college and it was in the ADMC room W113 on 17th of March 2011. TC group was consists of five people and I was a member of this meeting. The meeting was starting at 16:00 and took about twenty minutes. Before the meeting we had some practice to get a perfect meeting. TC group organized all the agenda about what we will have in the meeting. This meeting was the first what I did in my life so of course I had some confusion. However, I did well because the members of the group were helpful with each other. Abdullah AlHomoudi who is the leader of the TC group manages the meeting by a high level. He allowed for each member to give his suggestions in all the points which led us to get many ideas we can do it to get a better student life.

In general, I got important benefits of this meeting such as the member must spoke aloud and he must listen and focus all the time of meeting.  I hope all these note will help me to be better in the next meeting. Thank you for reading.

Meeting report:
Today’s meeting was held at 16:00 and concluded at 16:20 on the 17th of March 2011. The ADMC Room W113 was the location for this forum. All principle members were present to include the Chair/Lead Mr. Abdulla Al Homoudi, Minutes Keeper: Mr. Abdulaziz Al Ali and fellow board members Mr. Ahmed Sayed, Mr. Fares Al Shamsi, and Mr. Moaath. The major topics of this discussion were the effects of College Life on our young students who are away from home. During our discussion our first issue was how to keep students from getting bored while staying at the ADMC. We came up with several ways to help the students in this area; one way would be by going out on picnics and having more sporting events which would help build togetherness and strong friendship bonds. Our second issue was that some students felt homesick. We also came up with several good ideas to help students overcome this feeling which were; Volunteering in elderly homes. Make building accommodations friendlier. Third on our agenda was the lack of motivation; We realized that by making starting community groups the students would be able to get involved in many different activities away from the ADMC. Last on our list was finding a way to help build relationships between students and getting them to bond as a team. We agreed that by welcoming new personnel with a party when they arrive would help get over nervousness and to relax new personnel, we also added that by competing in sports as teams this would help grow the bonds of friendship and teamwork we are after. In addition our ideas and suggestions will be sent to the student academic service manager Mr. Khalid Abdullah next meeting will be held on 27th of March 2011 if there is any delay or information regarding the meeting all members will receive an email with all the details. Finally the meeting was useful and went well, all members were participating in a wise way and useful way. After all we met our objectives by finding suitable ideas which hopefully will be implemented soon.

The difficulties of speaking in public

Everyone had a stress in the first of speaking public. There are many difficulties the speakers are suffering from them. The first difficulty is that you must use another language not your native language, such as in the UAE we must use the English language in the presentations. Another difficulty is that almost of speakers are feel a stress when they do the first presentation, but often the stress are go away after several attempts. One important difficulty is that the speakers must to speak loudly. Likewise, they must to connect with the people by their hands and eyes. Thanks for reading.

Oilfield to Station....

All of us have cars and to make them move we should fill it with petrol. However, some people do not know where this petrol comes from and the process of oil to petrol.

First of all, the oil is located under the ground in the desert and under the sea. So to get the oil from under the ground it is pumped thought the pipeline. After that, the oil is stored in a huge storage tanks at a refinery. Then, the oil is refined into different products like petrol, heavy gas oil, light gas oil, gasoline, diesel and kerosene. Additionally, the petrol is stored in huge tanks. Next, it is transported to petrol stations in huge trucks. Moreover, it is stored in big underground tanks. Finally, the petrol is pumped into car tanks when we buy it.

In conclusion, this is a very interesting subject. So I hope from everyone to get benefit about how petrol is refined from oil and gets into our cars.
